Monica Sekowski
CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST
Monica is an experienced psychologist holding both a Master of Educational and Developmental Psychology and a Master of Clinical Psychology, this means that she has areas of speciality in both child and adolescent and adult mental health. She has an area of interest in feeding and eating disorders in children and adolescents and a passion for working with children and families presenting with developmental, behavioural, social, and emotional difficulties in the context of their eating concerns and other mental health presentations.
Monica is a proud member of the Eating Disorders and Body Image Research Network at Western Sydney University and was awarded the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research, Enterprise, and International Award, for excellence in interdisciplinary research in 2020. She held the position of Eating Disorders Coordinator for the Southwest Sydney Local Health District in 2020, where she was responsible for consulting on the clinical aspects of eating disorders treatment and training in all four hospitals in this district. Monica consults for the Australian Institute of Sports as part of their Mental Health Referral Network supporting athletes across the lifespan.

Monica offers a specialist diagnostic assessment of feeding and eating disorders and anxiety-related conditions that may impact a child’s feeding, nutrition, or development.
